school bites

Today's Pooch Cafe'
Music: Brad Paisely and Allison Krauss - Whiskey Lullaby
Mood: Bored

Well, school's off to a slow start, but that's only because none of my teachers have ASSIGNED us anything. That's one thing I kind of never liked about college; that most of it is just reading and then lecture, and then being tested on what you've read and been lectured. I'd rather have some assignments or projects (not too many, of course) to go along with the readings and lectures. What I'm trying to say is I'm tired of reading because I have 2 chapters to read for Music Appreciation, 5 to read for K-8 Music (yeah, five), 2 and a half to read for Science methods, and half a chapter to read for Biology. All in all that's 10 chapters to read by Monday and Tuesday. Booo! C'mon profs! Let's get the show on the road.

Gotta run home tomorrow to pick up my bicycle, shower radio, tan shoes, and some other random things I may have left at home (again) tomorrow. Plus, my parents are having friends over for dinner, so that means Dad's going to cook a goooood meal for us :) So I'll be sure to stay for dinner, as well. Even if that means driving home in the dark, dodging deer. Tomorrow will also give me one last time to do free laundry at my house.

Man, I've been watching wayyyyyy too much CMT and GAC...but there's nothing else on. Sucks only having 80some channels, doesn't it?? Okay, okay...so 80 channels isn't so bad...

Oh, by the way, some of you will be happy to know that I have decided to register this year to vote in the presidential election in November. I'm not sure what changed my mind because I really had no intention of doing it in the first place after I'd voted in 2000...but I think it had something to do with the fact the John Kerry was a guest on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and he just said some really smart things. Besides, Bush is an idiot and hopefully SOMEONE can fix some stuff he did. Kerry said that the middle class people are paying about 9% more in taxes than we were before Bush was president, and that the upper class, rich people are paying LESS than us middle class people...thought that was a load of bull.
This is about the most political I will ever get, so don't try to start any fights with me or arguments or tell me your side and expect me to know what you're talking about, because I really don't know what's going on, I just know I don't want Bush to be our president for the next four years...

Anywho, I'm going to try to start reading my Earth Science again w/o falling asleep. Adios!
